Elly Michaels, Director of Post Production
Elly is a seasoned editor, screenwriter, and director. Her approach to storytelling is guided by a curiosity of the intricacies of our world and the complexities of our shared human experience.
Before Oswego, Elly began her career creating health and wellness videos for a streaming on-demand network. From booking talent’s travel, filming yoga and meditation programming, and then editing the episodes thereafter, Elly gained skills in all aspects of the video production process.
Her passion for editing flourished when she became a freelancer in the Greater Denver Area, creating documentary shorts and collaborating with fellow artists. She focused her work on character driven films from the hemp industry, as well as music videos showcasing local musicians. When given the opportunity to leave her dark editing room, she could also be found filming concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. She has received numerous awards for her work, including a Clio for her edit in a cannabis marketing campaign, as well as Best Director for her submission in the 48 Hour Film Project in 2022.
Elly received a bachelor’s degree in Radio, TV, and Film from the University of North Texas. She loves to travel, cook, and ski, among other mountain activities. She ensures that everyone she meets is aware that she completed the 500 mile trek on the Colorado Trail, and looks forward to more backpacking adventures in the future.
